SAFE (Safe Affirm First Responders Empowerment) I have served for over 30 years in emergency services caring for people putting out fires responding to various emergency calls been involved in man made and natural disasters. With that being said I have a new purpose in life now and that is to help first responders that are dealing with PTSD and or mental health issues. As first responders we are always there to help others but when we need help who helps us? It’s ok not to be okay, don’t be ashamed or afraid to ask for help we did not ask for what has happened to us, but now we have to learn how to cope with the cards that we have been dealt.
